Doch auf wichtige „Kleinigkeiten“ wird vergessen: Der Lendhafen ist seit Jahrzehnten ein Aushängeschild der Stadt Klagenfurt. Viele Touristen nutzen die Möglichkeit mit dem Lendwurm-Schiff entlang des Lendkanals bis zum Wörthersee zu fahren. Als „erbärmlich“ bezeichnet GR Reinhold Gasper den derzeitigen Zustand entlang des Lendkanals: „Die Rohrbögen der Lendwurm- Anlagestelle sind rostig, das Geländer vor und nach der Steinernen Brücke weist ebenfalls einige Rostspuren auf!“ </p>

Seitens der Stadt – Referat für Tiefbau – wurde bisher nichts unternommen. Während der EM wird der Lendhafen zur Kulturmeile. Viele BesucherInnen und TouristenInnen werden die Möglichkeit der Lend-Schifffahrt bzw. eines Spazierganges entlang des Lendkanals zum See in Anspruch nehmen. „Rostige Rohrbögen sollten keinen bleibenden Eindruck bei den Besuchern hinterlassen!“, so der Grüne Gemeinderat und fordert daher die Stadt Klagenfurt auf, einen Auftrag zur Sanierung zu erteilen.</p>
